22nd February

On one of the very first days, we were taken on an hour walk in Sariska Tiger Reserve, which I absolutely loved. Not many people get the opportunity to leave the vehicles and experience the landscape on foot so I felt very lucky. We examined the trails for signs of different species moving through the forest and talked about the available habitats. Later on in the course, we split into groups and used some of this information to set camera traps. This was the first time that I had used this equipment and we got some really brilliant pictures, including one photograph of a tiger!
